On Feb 16, the day I quit smoking, I logged into nicoderm CQ's website. They have a bunch of quitting tools and all that, but the coolest part is they keep track of your quit date and how much money you have saved.
At this point, I have 22 days smoke free, and have saved $95. Frickin sweet!
I believe in my last post, I had not been wearing a patch, but planned to put one on the next day. I actually haven't gotten around to it. In fact, today is day four without the patches. I guess I just figured that if I have gone this long without any nicotine in my body, it seems stupid to put more in after not having any. I know I am putting myself at risk, but I will just need to keep an eye on it. I will just need to be a little bit more aware of how I am feeling.
The thing that sucks is the voice in your head that tries to make you go outside for no reason, and it tries to bargain and scheme it's way into getting me to cheat. (I'm not crazy! Anyone reading this how has quit or who has tried to knows the voices I am talking about! Anyone who hasn't, well then you are lucky I guess).
I have gotten a little distracted lately, but I am trying to get refocused on what I need to do this year. I don't know how two months have gone by already. Atleast I am doing good with the smoking thing. That's one of the big changes I wanted to make this year! I really need to start hanging out with some inspiring people. . . know any?
